I am delighted to announce that Supersonic, Season One, Show 8 filmed 21/10/75, and broadcast at various dates on the ITV Network from 23/10/75 onward, has been located on 2".
The was confirmed by the BFI (per pro the NFA) and ITN Source, almost unbelievably, THE SAME DAY.
There is now only one edition missing, 13/11/75.
I would like to thank Paul Watkins, Keith Badman and Mike Morton for their advice and support during the time I tried to find this. It paid off. ;D
Paul has also amended his excellent Supersonic resource to show this now exists.

13/11/75 was broadcast in some regions two days later, so on some databases it says 15/11/75.

Excellent news Ray. I used to watch this occasionally when it was originally broadcast. Would be great to get the full set.

Thanks.Paul. Even nicer that the list of performers/songs was largely unknown,so there was a gap in the information as well as the archive. This is the very best way of discovering the running-order!

Lostshows is fast, because.... it was never missing in the first place. It's in our new LE Book that has been out for some months. Mike Morton queried it for checking with us last July, and we checked, and it duly had existed all along. The info Trevor Popple gave us many years ago was wrong.
So we changed Lostshows last July to reflect its status.

A number of the other databases out there hadn't been changed, so this was one of my leftover things from last year I wanted to doublecheck. A recent magazine article stated they all existed, and that reminded me to do it.

So we changed Lostshows last July to reflect its status. c Just to clear this one up. When i researched Supesonic for my website listings back in 2007. I highlighted the fact that there were 2 missing shows which were not listed in the ITN/Granada & LWT archives. 21/10/1975 was one. A search of the BFI Database showed that it was listed there. I did ask the question of the BFI at the time to physically check, but recieved no response. I then asked the question on here in 2009. The only response was listed here on the thread missingepisodes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=totp&thread=4933&page=1Earlier this week Ray contacted me and said that all the Supersonic shows now existed, so checking again with the ITN source relvealed that it was still not there. Ray then checked with his sources and confirmed that 21/10/1975 did in fact exist at the NFA and a copy at ITN source aswell. Things have improved now in that queries to some organisations are now responded to and not ignored, and that is leading to a lot more material being discovered.

Revisiting the still missing Supersonic show, there seems a bit of confusion on 2 other shows which might be missing as well.
1. 15th November 1975 - Confirmed missing 2. 23rd October 1976 - Missing?
Can anyone shed any light on the 2nd October 1976?, does it still exist?
Also, does anyone have the tv listings for these shows and who was exactly on them?

I have the shows below (presumably these are the same ones you list as 2nd October and 23rd October?):
4th October 1976 Sailor - Girls Girls Girls (2nd App) Dodgers - Don't It Always Get You Down David Essex - Rock On Sailor - Stiletto Heels Climax Blues Band - Couldn't Get It Right David Essex - Coming Home
25th October 76 Osibisa - The Coffee Song Gene Pitney - Hold On To The Music Smokie - I'll Meet You At Midnight Twiggy - Vanilla Ole Guys And Dolls - Stony Ground Catherine Howe - Till The Morning Comes Guys And Dolls - Let's All Get Together.

The show dates are very confused. There are various sites/sources that have different transmission dates, sometimes due to the fact there were 2 showings per week on some networks (Mondays & Saturdays). "23rd October 1976 - Missing?" KAL's TV brain has this as missing and two of the artists who appeared were "Gloria Jones, R & J Stone" "Can anyone shed any light on the 2nd October 1976?" The official ITV programme numbering has this show as number #3. The 4th October you listed is number #4. These are confirmed by ITV as different shows. It is not known who was on this one though. Any help from TV listings etc might shed light on this.

I have a note that Gloria performed "I ain't going nowhere" on this show and there was also footage of Marc Bolan talking to Les Gray and Mike Mansfield. The episode date I have is 18/10/76,
