Regarding Shada, I am not aware of any new camera footage from 1979. My thoughts are that any completion would be based on either animating the missing scenes or the full thing animated. I believe he did the former as dr who animator did.

For what it's worth, I greatly admire Ian Levine for his work.  He has no doubt put a lot of effort into it.  It is a shame he did this without getting it funded.

For me the results don't live up to the expectation.  I found his U-toob preview very disappointing.

The basic idea remains sound.  Would it be possible to use existing stills as key frames and use CGI to fill in the bits bettween?  In some cases there may be insufficient stills, but at could reconstruct some parts.

On the topic of shada, now that tom is working for BF it would be great if they revisited it with him and lalla.

At least a full audio of the story with both would exist

I actually thought the fake Tom Baker was very good on Shada, he'd captured the wry sense of humour down to a tea.

However I wish JNT had completed it instead of making Meglos.

I've just finished reading Gareth Roberts's novelization of Shada. As everyone is talking about the story, I just thought that I'd say it's well worth a read...

IIRC one feature in DWM reckoned Shada would have been finished if there hadn't been such a change about of personnel between seasons 17 & 18.

One problem was getting all the supporting actors back as the would have had other commitments.
