Still not sure why the BBC have not pressed Mexico for the prints return? Surely they want them back.In theses dwindling times of any Episodes returning they might want to just check any existing ones available.
Could there be any other Countries that have been confirmed as still holding prints, and not returned them? Other Countries have stated in the past that they no longer held any prints only to find years later that they did and that they had been destroyed.
Surely the BBC would like better copies of Ep7 The Daleks and Marinus?

It really bothers me when peoples names are spelt wrong.

Really, something that alegedly happened in 1968 to Video Tape COPIES is still an issue in 2012?

Here's what Jon Preddle has posted on GB:

One possible reason why the films haven't been returned to the BBC is due to an 'issue' that arose between the BBC and the Mexican TV station in 1968... Apparently (this is according to a third hand source) the films were transferred onto video tape for broadcast purposes. The BBC requested the Mexican station to supply them with copies of the tapes so they could use them for subsequent sales. The Mexican station promptly recorded over some of the tapes with live coverage of the Mexico Olympiad, which was happening in mid 1968. As you can imagine the BBC was a bit miffed by this, as it technically put the Mexican station in breach of its sales contract... I imagine that negotiations to have the Stored films returned then collapsed at that stage...

Thanks for that. In regards to not pursuing Mexico for their return they don't have anything missing so not the highest priority. All those stories are complete and don't suffer any cuts as far as I'm aware.
