We can thus conclude by reading this and the rest of the article that in 2030 or so, Paul V can send a message back to the BBC in around 1965 (or as far back as the late 50s), urging them not to wipe anything as it will be released in super-duper DVD format for future generations to watch at their leisure. I can confirm that today I did in fact get a message from my future self informing me of the whereabouts of all the missing episodes, and that I (in the future) remembered getting the message from me thirty years ago and found them back then, but had to remind myself to contact me in the future (my future present) otherwise I would forget resulting in an inverse DVD release date paradox inversion. Thankfully, I have embargoed the information until at least the 50th anniversary, which apparently went down a storm. Regards, Paul 'the 50th anniversary, which apparently went down a storm'? Ooh, you are a tease!

That might make you a candidate to be the next Doctor.

In another thread called "Missing Episodes Dr. Who/Others Question", people were questioning the destruction of prints being returned from overseas stations. In that thread is also says returns from overseas were still being junked at BBC Enterprises without checking with the archive to see if they existed. Also in that thread, Paul Vanezis mentions "Over the past few years, a lot more information has come to light regarding overseas sales and the subsequent destruction of those prints. Once the information has been cross referenced and verified all will be revealed." The junking started forty years ago. The incident about returning overseas film prints being destroyed was around 1981. Peoples' memories from that far back can really fade over time, some employees might be dead by now, but paperwork is a trail that can't just be discarded. When Paul is mentioning cross referencing the information, it is logical to believe that a certain amount of paperwork has turned up that has gotten his attention. Paul will state his findings when he is absolutely sure. Just give him time to put the pieces together. Well, I'm surprised paperwork does not only still exist, but was retained 30 years on. I am actually surprised that they would keep logs when films/prints were returned from an overseas broadcaster and if same set prints were destroyed

IMO, we could possibly see between Fury from the deep - The space pirates. I'm just saying! maybe we found the silver lining in all these rumours. EDIT: or if we're lucky, from The abdominable snowmen-The space pirates. New Zealand never aired Fury or anything from Season Six during the initial run.

I think it is possible that records from other countries are also being used. Paul also posted a record in September showing what was returned to the BBC from Australia in June of 1975. That shipment included The Power of the Daleks and The Evil of the Daleks, which really cast serious doubts about an October rumor concerning several missing Dalek episodes being in Australia. It just wasn't physically possible for those episodes to be there.

It's still technically "physically possible". The probability is ridiculous, but there always the possibility that film left on the skip in the UK that originally came from Australia was picked up by someone ... sold to an Australian collector ... and wound up being shipped BACK to the country.
Again, an outrageous probability for all 13 dalek episodes... but still possible. After all, Steve here in the states has a few copies of non-missing Dr. Who ... so the collection circuit can stretch to other countries.

"Hey, Brian, what are those cans doing there ?"
"They're old 16mm film prints we're getting rid of"
"My cousin collects that sort of thing"
"Help yourself !"
"Hmmm....Daleks, he's always liked them. Ice Warriors, bet he'd like that"

Well then, we'll might see The abdominable snowmen- the wheel in space. You mean recovering The Abominable Snowmen and all the episodes through The Wheel In Space? The only way that has a realistic chance is if we encounter a man wearing a white suit, a black tie, and he is holding a glass of champagne saying "My dear guests, I am Mr. Roarke, your host. Welcome to Fantasy Island."

We'll all be seeing "Snowmen" at Christmas... ... and they look pretty "Abominable"... Considering how portly the Mk I Yeti were, jack's original typo was more appropriate!

I just had an idea, if Mission to the unknown, then BBC sydney had documents for shipping that episode. And since the BBC thought they didn't send it there, then there wouldn't be any order to return it. Someone should go to the BBC sydney and look up the documentations, and see if what i say is true!!
