I saw Frontier at Kal.
I think it was said it was the last black and white serial made by ABC and was not done in colour.
I mant to say the Lucy Goes to London special featuring the DC5. Sorry!

I've also heard that a director kept an episode of Cool For Cats.

The John le Carre adaptation "Dare I Weep, Dare I Mourn" is one of those colour US co-production Rediffusion programmes isn't it? It was shown on TV Heaven, I remember being surprised it was a Rediffusion production at the time.

Kev. Frontier was actually made in colour and DC5's appearance on the 'Hippodrome' show (1966) was also made in colour.
AR did many sporadic colour tapings of domestic market shows as well . Things like 'Shelter' by Alun Owen which were highly influential and should have been kept for historical reasons.

Think that one was 1966 as well. Rediffusion also made the series The Life And Times Of Lord Mountbatten, a 13 part film series in 1968. This was eventually transmitted by Thames in 1968 / 69 though as Rediffusion had ceased broadcasting by then.

Lawrence. Iwas quite surprised at Thames taking on the Mountbatten series. I heard there was a lot of animosity between ABC and AR , so much so that when they were forced together, some AR staff complained of intolerable working conditions, while others ended up at Yorkshire or LWT. Certainly Thames only seemed to resurrect only ABC properties, while AR had some good series' going at the time of their demise..
