So it was worth all the coffee, fags and eye-strain, yes?

Wow. This is really encouraging (to be honest as the list of identified items grew, so did my skepticism and my hopes that these actually would be found existing faded). It is a little embarrassing for the BFI to say the least!

So it was worth all the coffee, fags and eye-strain, yes? Have you been spying on me, Barry? ;D Yes. The answer's yes. One find is worth it.

Paperplay does needed to be checked next week. Fremantle have a small bit of it. If you can remind me, I'll email/phone my contact there.

There's quite a few Jackanory episodes. Anyone have a complete list of what's missing? The Lostshows index is more than slightly incomplete.
BFI lists having the story Anansi And The Tiger Stories which lostshows says is missing.

And here was I going through the Magpies again, double checking.Hadn't read this thread,of course! Amazing. Do we know if the other Magpie Specials that are listed e.g. Brooklands,Endangered Species,Dear Mum-Love Andrew,Elm Tree Farm, are included in the list of episodes?

I found the inserts of Endangered Species at Wessex last year. Wessex!!!! I believe they were a donation from Marwell Zoo (near Winchester), where the footage seems to have been shot.

And the Dear Mum one is in the Anglia archive! That's the EAFA one to be completely correct.

Thanks for the replies.
By checking the list,I can see that the Good Friday Special is there-8/4/77,the Scottish one-9/4/80,Elm Tree Farm 20/6/75,but there are others which often last longer e.g. Stratford Adventure Playground (68 mins.). Other specials are 'Like Ordinary Children' 1973,Stratford Adventure Playground 1975,Brooklands Special, and the Endangered Species Special 1976. I see that Christmas episodes were often longer, with 23/12/77 and 22/12/78 running to 43 mins. Any pop stars?
