The extras look promising... 00:02:38:20 YOUR MOTHER SHOULD KNOW 00:03:55:18 BLUE JAY WAY 00:03:01:20 THE FOOL ON THE HILL 00:01:59:07 NAT'S DREAM 00:02:39:18 I'M GOING IN A FIELD - IVOR CUTLER 00:02:38:25 HERE WE GO ROUND THE MULBERRY BUSH - TRAFFIC 00:19:01:23 THE MAKING OF MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR 00:02:22:22 RINGO THE ACTOR 00:10:53:00 THE CAST 00:03:35:17 HELLO GOODBYE 00:00:45:22 (CREDITS) I'm presuming the main songs are all alternate cuts, but looks like we're finally gonna get to see three major outtakes - Nat chasing the girls about, Ivor Cutler performing a song and the Traffic insert! As for the Macca commentary, that depends on who's questioning him I guess since I'm expecting nothing remotely interesting there other than the usual bland Macca stock stories. Just hope they leave this in 4:3 ratio as per the original broadcasts. There is zero excuse for them to rewrite history cropping this one.

Having bought the US DVD version a few years back the extras look promising enough to consider buying it again. It's Macca's baby so lets hope he holds his hand up as to why it went so badly wrong.

Thought Hello Goodbye was on the original film!

Tell you what bugged me about the most recent Video release of "Help"... Right at the end, where the Beatles are larking around on-mike during the closing credits, the original movie has George yell out "I Need You George Harrison!" when his song credit appeared on-screen. However, when the VHS remaster was done, presumably the credits were re-put-together, and now it just seems that George yells that out apropos of nothing, and his credit appears on-screen about a minute later. A small detail, I know... He does say that at 1:3-:14, when the songwriting credits appear, just as always. But he yells it out again a bit later in the credits. Maybe that's what you're thinking about.

Thought Hello Goodbye was on the original film! I think just the song's chorus tag featured at the end of the film over the credits, but, apparently on this new release, the full song will be featured as an extra (the fab four shot 3 versions of the song, all dressed in different outfits, so maybe the performance on the DVD will be a composite).

I wonder....it's a remote possibility, but would they have got the Hello Goodbye promo from the BBC Xmas Part 2 1967, seeing as the BBC now can't find it....I expect that the BBC could not track it down because there's a restriction on it, but....it is most likely one of the existing and much bootlegged promos....please note Apple, we need a release of a Beatles promos DVD, there's enough for a volume one and two....and three

There are three Hello Goodyes. The Pepper suit version, the plain clothes version, and a third, presumably made for UK TV to comply with the miming ban, which seems to be comprised of offcuts. The Brits got the short end of the stick there.
(Note to mods, I wish to change my handle to a proper screen name).

Pedant's note - technically four - with the specially-made-for-the BBC-promo that has vanished into thin air....(as referenced in my previous post)

No expert on this, but as a child I seem to remember that the promo on TOTP had trains pulling in and out of stations (Hello, Goodbye - geddit?) Is that the promo which is missing?

That says All You Need is Love was shown on Part Two, which I believe it was.
Hello Goodbye was Part One.
