Thanks for posting! Interesting. It doesn't need deinterlacing though, the problem will be your video player. For example windows media player (at least the one I use) can't deal with interlacing so you can see the interlacing lines, but media player classic displays it properly, as will a dvd player if it's authored to dvd.
I was excited to see this, but on watching I was massively disappointed. I feel like I've been trolled by Warhol from beyond the grave. I want to punch him in the soul. He had a chance to film the Velvet Underground and he just messed about. What a disappointment.

Which is why I have little patience for Warhol and his "works" since almost everything I've seen of it is more like a tease. The VU for him was just another trivial plaything he had no real interest in. All he did seem to be interested in was listening to other people gossiping and bitching, and the sizes of a certain part of the human anatomy. Strange bloke and in my eyes one of the 20th Century's biggest tricksters/conmen. So, I don't think I'll bother with this "Live In Boston" film. It would only annoy me.

lol, Dan S. You make some good points, although I think that the various viewpoints provide depth and that takes skill. But he did also mess about a lot. And I think they should have left the lights on. How about "Mo in Bondage," guys? https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share?s=qrv9K8rPRC4uL53OYLv7Lo

Here's an exact copy of of the Raro DVD's version of the above footage (which is 1965, by the way): depositfiles.com/files/upew69x4r Note that it, too, is digitally flawed and needs to be fixed up: forum.videohelp.com/threads/357226-Deinterlacing"The source was film originally, I think. But the fields don't always line up properly so you see interlacing. I see this kind of thing all the time from film on PAL VHS tapes. I usually bob with QTGMC followed by removing every other frame with a SelectEven. Then I slow them back down to film speed (AssumeFPS(23.976)), and slow the audio to match."

The long lost "Marvin and Tammy" show where the VU appear and perform the never-released "Guess I'm Falling I Love" There's an instrumental take on "Another VU", my guess is that this was the backing track for the TV appearance, and the vocals were performed 'as-live'. Lost? Never to be found? A member of the VU forum found this the other day, which, remarkably, has been on youtube since 2014, and is now generating some discussion. It seems pretty plausible that it really is the audio of the band's performance on Upbeat. link
