Gerry Anderson has made a few pilots over the years, one being The Investigator. IIRC Dinky made some toys based on it, thinking it would be comissioned into a full series.
TV Cream once had a feature on pilots, I think I've still got a text copy on my hard drive.

Here are the titles from the old TV Cream list of titles, I could post the whole things but I'm not sure if Graham Kibble-White & co would be too pleased if I did.

DEATH BY SPORT (1998)
THE GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS (1975)

OUT OF THE TREES (1976) THE RINGO STARR SHOW (1970s) OOTT has been recovered, but I thought the Ringo Starr Show was never even filmed?

I think some of them didn't get beyond a script & some pre-production, a bit like Terry Nation's attempt to give the Daleks their own show.
I'll have to have a look though again I remove the ones that didn't get off the drawing board.

With Ringo, it didn't happen. There was an NBC Ringo special, but he never went the way of Cilla and did a family-type series. I'm not even aware of a pilot - but then again, I wasn't even aware that Apple's 'Timothy Travel' and 'Hold It' had made it past pre-production until 2 years ago!
(Ray Langstone, runner-up Beatle Brain of Britain 1985 and 1990).....

I remember seeing The Incredible Robert Baldick at the BFI (IIRC) quite a few years ago. Rather enjoyable. I could quite easily envisage a series based on that pilot.

Read about it in Alwyn Turner's Terry Nation biography. There is (or was) a brief, out of sync clip on YouTube. Looks a lot of fun.

Bindle - One of Them Days starring Alfie Bass was belatedly given a cinema release in 1969/70 and was reviewed in the Monthly Film Bulletin at the time. That's interesting Ray didnt know that -thanks- just found it, looks like they only ever made one ? Would have had an interesting music track with Albert (the prisoner) Elms I would have thought? - uk.imdb.com/title/tt1236232/maybe the big backers pulled out? As noted elsewhere, Bindle is being shown on TPTV at 7.45pm on Friday (the 17th). A clip here: www.tptvencore.co.uk/Video/TPPRGTPN0002?id=3b9d479a-b9ee-4190-90c7-68ef8eb4f958
