Wasn't it due to the fact it was for Children In Need and therefore for Charity, so all the performers gave their time etc for free?

I know it's crappy from what I've seen on YouTube. But as commented if it was purely for charity why can't we have a special disc or an upcoming box set, that's charity driven I've seen bits and bobs as special features on other DVD releases. From what I've seen Doctor Who has always been a big part of Children In Need (we have similar charities down here) and another release something like The Curse of Fatal Death, with other similar bits sold purely for charity- why not I ask?
