I'm pleased to announce that a previously missing episode of The Troubleshooters - Birdstrike - has been recovered. The episode is from 1966 and the full story can be read on my website Wiped: wipednews.com/2010/05/24/a-bird-in-the-hand/Cheers, Anthony

Good news:-) I was interested to see a mention of The Rat Catchers as a link - now disappeared - was recently posted to an episode currently for sale on Ebay.

Good news about The Troubleshooters episode, Anthony! Thanks for passing on the info. A release of this series would be welcomed by me.
Sadly The Ratcatchers print turned out to be another copy of the episode already held by the BFI (but in lesser quality). This being Ticket To Madrid, the first episode. Sod's law I suppose but it does give some hope that other episodes of the series are out there somewhere.

Nice one Anthony. Thanks also to the nameless collector for agreeing to loan this item to the BBC. I hope whoever you are, you get to read this thread. We're all very grateful for your help in plugging another hole in the archives.
Re: Rat Catchers. Shame it turned out to be a copy of an existing print, but glad it's sitting safely at the BFI.

Brilliant, Anthony. Thanks indeed for the heads-up! 'The Troubleshooters' is one of the tv programmes I vividly remember from my formative years - it seemed to epitomise the word 'modern', I still love the company logo!
