OT Up Pompeii BBC2 1990's repeats

I think the BBC have already RSC'd 'Up Pompei' so fingers crossed in a coming release this will be what is released.

According to the RT, the BBC have been busy converting all the NTSC tapes they still have.

Saying that, the 1992 repeat of 'Up Pompei' looked good and I would have never guessed that they were sourced from NTSC tapes so the RSC'd versions will only look better !

Yes, I think it was, though wasn't an episode of Up Pompeii used as the guinea pig? I seem to remember reading that on the Dr. Who Restoration Team's forum or some similar place.

Let us hope that the BBC see fit to release the complete Up Pompeii and Whoops Baghdad! soon, although just the fact that the latter has "Baghdad" in the title might get it blaclisted by the PC police!
