Great news, Guys!
There's more of Chapter Three visually than I first dared hope for. The comment in RC (quoted from a source on the DVD?) about the Aus appearance being the only known footage of the group was clearly wrong. The DVD set is pretty comprehensive in other respects so I wonder why the Tous En Scene appearance was not included as well?
Nothing from this edition of Tous En Scene material has surfaced yet and I'd never heard of the appearance. There does not seem to be an episode guide to this show circulating so it's hard knowing what / who else appeared.
Another great little piece of news anyway.

This is great news Sergey. I just had a thought regarding the Australian clip though. The MMEB website makes no reference to any Australian trip in 1970, only 1971. Getting the exact date may be crucial though because (and this is news to me too) the website makes plain that the early Earth Band were still being billed as Chapter Three til the end of 1971. So if the tv appearance featured on the dvd was actually 1971 then it will probably be the Earth Band in all but name (with a different style and line up to Chapter Three).
If anyone has seen the dvd, can they confirm which line up is on the clip? If my theory is right it may well be that it's actually the Earth Band, meaning that the only known surviving footage of the genuine Chapter Three (the jazz rock outfit with Mike Hugg in the line up) is the 1970 Tous En Scene appearance.

Dave I aquired a Manfred Mann complation DVD a while back which included the Mike D'Abo line up also appearing on the Tous En Scene show and performing the songs "Box Office Draw" and "Each And Every Day". The year of broadcast appears to be around 1967.

Interesting Jeff. If it was 1967 and the songs you mention, then that's the original Manfred Mann group, not Chapter Three (which only formed mid-late '69). I'd never known about that appearance before so it's an unusual one. Is it colour or b/w?
Sergey, pleased to hear the clip on the DVD is from 1970 after all. So can we assume that Mike Hugg is on keyboards / vocals in the clip, so as to identify it positively as definitely being the real Chapter Three? Check your personal messages, Sergey.

Manfred Mann appear on Tous En Scene in May 1969. They perform three songs - "Ha Ha Said The Clown", "Fox On The Run", "The Mighty Quinn". As can be seen from the date it is still a line-up with Mike D'Abo. Australian clip 1970 - is Chapter Three and with Manfred Mann vocals.Screenshots:

Wow, thanks for posting the stills, Sergey! Great to finally see how Chapter Three looked when performing. There are probably a lot of us here that would like to see these clips. I do hope we get a chance to see this material eventually. The Tous En Scene appearance I would really like to see most of all!

The picture below appears as though there was an attempt to make the group more psychedelic which could imply that it was originally filmed in colour.
