Interesting to know which episodes survived as additional t/rs, John. I was only aware of Meddlers ep.1 being a definite myself. I presume they all still do exist now (bearing in mind this was in the '80s / '90s and Thames had a big clearout of excess - and not so excess - copies after this time when they lost their franchise)?
Are all the off-air audios of series 2 episodes roughly of the same sound quality, do you know?

Hello Laurence, all of the off air recordings that i have heard are roughly equal quality, but I have no idea how far from the original source they are. Could be a few generations.

Hello Laurence, all of the off air recordings that i have heard are roughly equal quality, but I have no idea how far from the original source they are. Could be a few generations. So far as I know they're different - maybe Gregs heard a better copy of 'Serpents'. Someone mentioned to me there - was - a better master audio of either 'Serpents' or 'Nightmare Gas'. Ohter technical points - the speeds vary on some episodes presumably as the Cassettes batteries were running down. This could be digitally restored. 'Nightmare Gas' is much better quality than 'Serpents'. 'Eye of Ra' 1 seems to be missing (audio wise). I was quoting what I could remember of the existing T/Rs from Andrew Pixleys info; but may have got it wrong. I think even one T/R is hope as it's evidence they were made of the sales episodes and thus presumably also 'Serpents' at the same time.

Thanks, John and Greg. I'd personally bet that if Seven Serpents is still around at all, then it'll be as a complete story rather than only odd episodes though. Just my view, of course, but if it was disposed of (and evidence suggests this happened late in the day, by which time AOW may have had some nostalgic appeal), it'll either have all been junked at once or swooped up by somebody or other in full. Let's hope the latter.

Actually I'm hoping I can trace good quality audios of series 2. A friend was working on trying to restore a poor version of an episode to couple with visual images for a 'reconstruction' test.
Those interested in the audios may want to put in 'search' on 'Mausoleum Club forum' with 'Ace of Wands series 1 and 2'. There are a couple with similar names; I think the last one added 'new points' to the title. The last post top date should be at the top.
