In the BBC book Doctor Who-The Television Companion,it mentions a confrontation between the Doctor and the Daleks where they explain to him events seen in Evil Of the Daleks and how they discovered time travel. It says it was cut from episode 4 for timing reasons.Does it still exist? It would great for a DVD release.I have a funny feeling it will be the next Pertwee release 1)Because they've mainly been releasing Pertwee stories that exist entirely on their original PAL VT broadcast tapes,2)because they haven't released anything from season 9 yet and 3)they haven't released any 70s dalek stories yet.

This was discussed on the RT forum recently and, sadly, it doesn't exist.

"Inferno" is a nice choice. I'd rather have "The Daemons," but that would take a lot of work to make it sutable for dvd. The next Pertwee release is believed to be "Inferno", scheduled for 2006. 3)they haven't released any 70s dalek stories yet. Genesis of the Daleks is scheduled for 2006. (Personally, I think Death to the Daleks will be released before Day, on account of there being a lot of behind the scenes in the studio material from that serial available for extras.) Jon Preddle

Jon Preddle What makes you think that Genesis will be released next year, the only evidence is a commentary being recorded but ultimately this means nothing to when its released. You know something we don't?

The next Pertwee release is believed to be Inferno, scheduled for 2006. Genesis of the Daleks is scheduled for 2006. How the buggery-bollocks do you know this then??? Crap, that means I have to buy two DVDs next year!!

When they get round to Day of the Daleks I hope they include the Blue Peter clip with Peter Purves and the 3 Daleks in the studio.
Also what extras should they have with Genesis?
I vote for Vision On`s dancing daleks and the Pakistani Dalek on Q with Spike Miligan. That was Cy Town in the dalek by the way Perhaps Tom on Jim`ll fix it!

Well, here's a rumour for you - Time Warrior & Sontaran Experiment as a double issue DVD for 2006 ! No, I'm not talking our of an alternative hole. This info is courtesy of 'The Who Shop International'. Been waiting for Styre to 'set about his butchers ways' on DVD for a long time.
