Wasn't this discovered a couple of years ago (as reported on the Avengers Forever website)? In 2003, I believe (at the same time as "Girl on a Trapeze"), although, last I heard, it had yet to be returned to the relavent archive. If it's "back" at last, maybe someone will finally release those much discussed Special Edition "Avengers" box sets. With ITV turning fifty-years-old this year, surely there isn't a better time?

From the article that Jon Preddle posted stating that the 1/2 episode will be shown in December. How much do you think tickets to this event will cost? It is really neat thinking that an Avengers episode from 1961 still exists, extremely cool. Sheds some light for early television recoveries, that just when we think we have found everything something new is unearthed for all of us to enjoy. To me that is a major appeal of the hunt for missing material. Talk to you guys later.

Just out of interest, Jon, why did you post this in the Dr Who section, when the General TV section is just round the corner..? Good question! I guess to demonstrate that other programmes are missing and eps can be found in the most unlikely of places! Jon

musings
in theory an episode can end up anywhere, however unlikely, but how would we know where to look?

Thats the thing, you don't know exactly where to look. You just follow clues and leads and hope that you eventually yield some results. By the way, I have not heard anything about the new Vanezis Levine push to locate missing who? Just currious on how that is progressing. Talk later.

The first reel of Hot Snow, along with the second reel, were located years ago. It's the *last* reel that's missing. This isn't news at all.
