Wasn't there a more-or-less confirmed report that 'Power of the Daleks' was shown in Ghana in 1986 but the television archive burned to the ground in 1988 and everything that might have been there was destroyed?

Such as in the case of my Zambia inquiery, I have not heard anything back from them yet. Mark, do you think that you or another high ranking official could contact the zambia archives and see if they have found anything ? There is a greater chance of success if a high ranking member inquires into Doctor Who, it would be greatly appreciated. Please post any input or new info.
Thanks, Lance.

Lance, it seems that your best bet would be to enquire to the broadcasters in foreign countries and not generic government officials. Add to your request if broadcast material would have been transfered over to the country's national archives. It might help you a little.

Power was only ever shown in three countries Australia, New Zealand and Singapore - similiar to the Tenth Planet..it looks like there were only ever three copies - the master at the Beeb (with also up to 1970 a f35mm version of Power in FL)...New Zealand records show that Power was sent onto Singapore in about 1972. Singapore is one of those countries that more than likely sent their copies vback or destroyed as directed.
I would say the only chance is if 6 did slip out of the archives or an odd episode is held by a private collector in Australia

It is possible - just *possible* mind - that the print of Power that screened in NZ came from Australia... which could mean there was just *one* print of that story in circulation. What happend to them after they webnt to Singapore is still a mystery. Jon Preddle
