The pbs channel wnye in nyc , does to my knowledge have uncataloged material, I know someome who works there. Mr roberts I do believe you were in manhattan recently. Put 2 and 2 togther to make 500. ;D Your math sounds like Duh-bya's too. ;D Seriously, did the first Time-Life "Doctor Who" originally appear go into syndication on commercial US tv, public tv, or both?

Thank you Wright Blan for the support earlier. I was starting to think that all these people were attacking me. It is nice to know that someone else can see things from a different perspective. Some people here seem to forget that people visit this site from other nations. And to those people who I have "bugged for ages" with my occasional lack of perfect punctuation and perfect spelling, I am truely sorry if I have in any way offended you. Now back to the topic of this thread could there be any material in this NYC PBS station that fans of Doctor Who would be interested in finding? Any new ideas or information on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You for your time.
Lance.

Lance mate - don't take it so personally, no-one was getting at you particularly (as at least one poster was at apins to point out). It is however very annoying to some people to have a poster write 'would of' instead of 'would have' or 'would've' because the phrase makes no sense in English whatsoever. As for Wright Blan, I can't help thinking that his support was a little tongue in cheek - 'You have to remember that English is a second language to Americans' is a two-edged sort of sentence at best (and surely no-one wants to be compared linguistically to the stupidest man in the West - Dubya) Stuart

Not sure about the Pertwee package, but the second Time-Life attempt (in the late '70s with Tom Baker) appeared on both (in my area, it was on our local ABC affiliate station).

I live in Georgia, Stewart. Trust me, there are things done to the English language down here in The South that would make your head spin, your hair curl, and your blood boil. (And by the way, Duh-bya is not the stupidest man in the West. That would be CNN's Larry King, but that's another story for another time.)

So,
Have we deduced that there were no reels that were returned to the BBC. At some level, that the proper people were totally unaware of thier arrival ? If anyone has any info or input please leave a response.
Thanks,Lance.

I think we've deduced that there really was no story for Who fans whatsoever - nothing was returned at all and the RSC is something we already know about.

It's a complete non-story, the article was referring to the Reverse Standards Conversion process being applied to all of the relevant BBC tapes. Nothing additional has been returned to the BBC.
