You know, I've always had a feeling that some (or all, but likely just an episode or two) of The Space Pirates and/or Marco Polo would turn up. I have no real reason to suspect this, I've just always had that feeling... I think at least one episode of Polo will be found in the future as well. Dozens of prints were struck, the empty cans have been found in Canda, Iran were sent parts One and Two and have never said either way weather they posses or don't posses them, i've even heard claims that the People behind the junking process tried to save Polo from destruction. I woulden't bet on a stray episode of Polo lurking out there. Out of all the stories it probally has the highest possibility of an episode being returned. After the Lion was found I said that the next episode found would be from the Daleks Masterplan or Marco Polo, and Masterplan 2 was found, not where I was expecting it though, when I heard about its recovery I thought Damien Shannahan had found it in Australia, I was plasently surprised when I found out it had been in Leeds. So I think that the next recovry could be a Polo episode.

Steve that would be awesome to see an episode of Polo. The audio soundtrack is extremely compelling, I bet a episode of Polo is equally compelling. But it just seems like there is not a lot of attention given to canada. for the prospect of finding lost Who. Are there people in Canada who are searching for missing material? Have any of the canadian television stations or collectors been contacted on the search for missing material? Just currious, any thoughts or replys would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,Lance.

Canadian stations and/or the CBC haven't been very helpful in the past, Lance. And they really don't have the money to search for lost episodes.

There is a huge warehouse in Toronto full of unchecked Films. The BBC have tried for many years to get access to this, but have been refused. It bet you Polo is in that Warehouse. Thanks,Lance.

Strangely enough there have been, over the years, persistent reports that "The Singing Sands" (Marco Polo: Episode 2)exists somewhere in private hands. Alas, (so far at least) reports and garbled Chinese whispers are all that have gone 'round. To the best of my knowledge no one has been able to substantiate this claim anywhere - I'd say it is probably a case of wishful thinking going round and round the same circles... Bugger...

I think we can happily dismiss this rumour. It started when some organisers of a convention for a joke said they were going to screen a lost episode Marco Polo 2, in fact what they screened I think was Faceless Ones 3.

Well, I certainly hope that something does happen. Possibly once the new series gets underway someting might happen.

Well certainly the person who posted on the Beer Drinkers forum claims that someone with missing episodes is waiting for the new series to start to boost awareness of a potential sale...
Personally I don't like to count my chickens before they've hatched. The whole thing smacks of unfounded rumour. We'll see if - and only if - anything does resurface...

Imagine how cool it would be to see "January 2006: The Space Pirates DVD". ;D Would fans moan that it's crap or would the fact that it's "new" change things? I wonder.
Anyway, I agree with the above poster than it sounds like a hoax, especially as you have to wait for thirteen weeks to find out whether it is or not. Hoaxers do like to drags these things out, after all, who remembers a two-day online hoax? I'd say the chances of it not being a hoax are about 20%... so not very likely. Sadly. (The Space Pirates had such cool model shots!)
