On a similar note, I've always wondered about The Daleks' Master Plan: would Australia have edited Coronas of the Sun and Volcano so that they made some sort of sense? Coronas of the Sun ends with the Doctor reporting that the atmosphere outside the TARDIS is poisonous and Volcano starts, if I remember rightly, with the TARDIS materialising in Trafalar Square. I suppose the start of Volcano could have been edited into the end of the previous episode. Anyway, I've gone completely off-topic. Interesting question Ethan. I seem to recall finding some paperwork - possibly the camera script - which indicates that two different endings may have been recorded for "Coronas of the Sun", one with the caption "Next Episode: The Feast of Steven" for the UK transmission and another with the caption "Next Episode: Volcano" for overseas prints. This would still be odd because "Volcano" opens with the TARDIS in flight again. Maybe the end of the final TARDIS sequence - with the landing - was also to have been removed from export prints? All the best Andrew

"Planet" simply had the episode captions for 4-6 re-titled as 3-5. A friend of mine once in Canada once told me of another bizarre Episode Three she had seen which was totally in colour. An effect achieved simply by splicing the last twelve minutes of Episode Two onto the first twelve minutes of Episode Four ....!

All the best Andrew Thanks Andrew. I think you're probably right about removing the cliff-hanger from Coronas of the Sun, although, whilst it would make sense in terms of story telling (TARDIS dematerialises at the end of Coronas of the Sun and materialising at the start of Volcano), it would probably have looked crude as I doubt the two scenes would fit seemlessly together. Personally, I don't see why The Feast of Steven was such a big deal anyway, especially when Volcano is more of the same, but toned down. They could have broadcast The Feast of Steven and Volcano as a double-bill (if such an event existed at the time). Hopefully when Coronas of the Sun surfaces, it won't be edited.

You're a very silly person, and I'm not going to believe a word you say untill you start using proper English. looks to me like sms english. a mate of mine uses it all the time; it's frustrating, but once you start reading everything aloud, it makes a lot more sense! doesn't make jo silly, though -- just of the clubbing generation.

Well, there is a time and purpose for everything. But using sms speak when your claiming to have a missing ep AND expecting to be taking seriously at the same time is probably not going to happen, at least in my book. If I posted somthing like "Hey y'all, I got me a copy of "The Tenth Plannet ep 4" who wants it? Get R' Done!" I doubt anyone would respond to it seriously. It would be like trying to take seriously a Division 1A college football team who plays their home games on a blue colored football field.
