Unfortunately, the only shows that exist with Bentine are the two from series 2 that Spike recorded.According to the book 'The Goons - The Story' the BBC had the third series as late as the early sixties,in their original state ie the metal discs. In their infinite wisdom, they decided to only keep shows which had already been transferred to tape,so the entire 3rd series was destroyed. If anyone had saved/taped any of these then we surely would know by now.Of course, if they had the 3rd series that late, then why not the first two?.........

My feeling is that there probally at one stage in the last 20 years a lot of the shows May have existed.. but think about it.. anyone who could have recorded these shows (Ie from a age point) would now be dead or would be dead soon (look im not trying to be morbid) and thier respective families would more than likley throw them out after thier deaths!!! Think about IT!!!! you really need to check out that decesed estate sale .. more then ever now..

It's always possible that the missing Goon's are out there, who knows what people have on old tapes and reels that needs to be uncovered! The best we have are the transcripts at the minute.
