An idea struck me....if we all name one long lost video performance that more than anything else we'd like to own,or see again then maybe other members can help out in some way and point us in the right direction in obtaining that wish. You never know one of us may even have a Slade clip that Gary hasn't got.Unlikely, but you never know!! Being a Cockney Rebel fan i guess i'd love to see the band's first ever TV appearance in November 1973 on the Dutch show Toppop doing Sebastian. How about you lot? ?

Kinks on Colur Me Pop Sparks on the Old Gret Whistle Test Two which could have come from my mouth! Added to that for me would the 16/6/66 TOTP and a Pink Floyd TOTP appearance for Emily. The Xmas '69 25th and 26th Dec TOTP specials too and TOTP material from the '60s, as far as i'm concerned. Also, Manfred Man, The Hollies and the complete Bonzos Colour Me Pop...I could go on!

Yeah... I'd love to see all those as well Lawrence and more! A real bottomless pit of lost archive performances.
If it came down to what shows I'd most love to see recovered then its undeniably editions of TOTP and Colour Me Pop. Mind you having seen the shocking archive status I would have to say "Lift Off With Ayshea" as well.

Why not Lift Off with the rather lovely Ayesha. I guess Bowie fans(are there many on this board??) would remind us of 'Starman' from that show which has long since been lost.

That's one i'd like to see again.

Theres promo films for last two as used (I seem to recall) on 'Top of the Pops'. I'm after your first choice. It doesn't seem to have been exported like 'Virginia Plain'; but was made as a VT insert; and evidence suggests the edition was copied to T-R. I'd also like to see these TOTP studio performances: GOOD GRIEF CHRISTINA chicory tip (SPACE SUITS ETC.) SEASIDE SHUFFLE terry dactyl CALIFORNIA MAN xmas 72 / Jan 73 version (Move). In the third item; it was similar to the existing cut; but an ILEA t.v. set was dragged on stage and smashed up. Also for this version; Roy Wood had an 'I'M OFF TO SEE THE WIZZARD' sticker on his guitar. When Jeff Lynne appeared later in the same show; he had the same sticker on his guitar. He was dressed in a Teddy boys coat from earlier but with a sort of Traffic wardens peaked cap. Sorry to have to say I'd also like to see the animation for JOHNNIE REGGAE - TOTP 1971 and (not so sorry) BRIDGET THE MIDGET. In last clips a girl dressed in an Afro wig and knee length boots and hot pants danced in the centre of a ring of TOTP audience members; chromokeyed to doll size.

I remember the Honaloochie Boogie promo film as the Beeb repeated a clip of it on Pop Quiz back in the 80s if I remember right. I may even have in on VHS somewhere. It would be nice to see the complete promo though. Chris.
