I am astonished to hear that a full run of these was not saved because I recall it was made to film quality like Robin Hood.Peter Murray better known to Radio 2 mentioned the Daniger Brothers and there cost cuttingin his autobiography.If the traced films become available you will notice that when John Ireland left his office we were either shown film of his passing a lady or his summoning a cab. This went out at the same time possibly back to back with the Pursuers.I wonder if John Ireland kept a copy of his films. The Danigers also made Richard with Dermo Walsh again with a restricted cast,I wunder what happened to that. Robert Ayres the co-star in the Fraudsters sadly died very young.

Richard the Lionheart has been released in the USA on DVD by a relative of the Danziger Bros. It is available to the UK by post. However those who have bought it said the DVD mastering needs a lot to be desired. Talking of the Danziger production methods,the complete series of Richard (39 episodes) was thought to have been completed in 20 weeks.
