just an update for those who attended MBW and heard about a Harry Secombe show winging it's way to me. I now have the print and it appears to be circa 1961 ( internal evidence being an obscure song playing during a pastiche of juke box jury ) - sadly no copyright date in site. there's some nice material with Terrance Alexander and a good sketch at the end with Donald Houston and Janette Scott - won't know if this is missing material until some more research is done
Aditionally I have received today a 16mm copy of the opening episode of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" from 1956 - I have previously had the episode on NTSC vhs as it is available from one or two public domain dealers in the states - the Kaleidoscope guide had this as one of two missing episodes of the series - If the ATV archive sort out hasn't yet turned up a copy then this film print should serve to produce a new master for them and make the series commercially viable again ( being the opening episode it of course establishes the characters and scenario - not that many people would be unfamiliar with such a well known story of course )

That's very good news David. I wonder if it is the same one I heard about a few years ago? It is an early show too, which must be under-represented. Though as usual, because the film doesn't have an old bloke with a police box or feature ray guns it hasn't clicked with anyone on the forum ;-)

Congrats to David on the two film prints! Lets hope this is the start of a good year of film finds. However us Doctor Who fans could do without the snide comments Anthony. Sci fi has a huge fandom and that's why it's talked about more in my opinion. So enough about that, congrats again and happy hunting!

Sorry? I've reported you to Davros for your failure to be accurate. One flip of a Morris Minor dashboard switch and you'll be toast. ;-)
