Which other 1972 edition of TOTP was found, besides 22/6/72?

As the 2 editions are dated June & November 1972, i would asume the November Edition is the one we all know (16/11/72) as they were both found in the late Nineties at BBC Scotland.

Hi Keith. I thought 16/11/72 was found longer ago than that though. 22/6/72 was found in 1999, while clips from 16/11/72 had been shown on TOTP2 in the mid-nineties.

The more i think about it, i`m convinced that it has to be the 16/11/72 edition, mainly because i don`t ever remember seeing anything from this edition from before the mid Nineties and if it had been from any other November `72 edition, then i`m sure we would have seen something from it by now. I know Pete said recently that the Colour performances of Rod Stewart and Gladys Knight come from the 30/11/72 edition as inserts but thats about it. Also i don`t think both the June & November editions were found at exactly the same time even though they both were found at BBC Glasgow.

This is from Record Collector, September '99 :
"A batch of cilps from 1972 editions of TOTP previously thought to have been wiped by the BBC have recently been discovered during a clear-out of the corporation's Glasgow studios. Although full details of what has been unearthed have not been given, Record Collector's TV archivist, Keith Badman, reveals that at least one complete programme is amongst the finds, and that we now have the chance to see a long-lost performance of Slade performing their November 1972 hit, "Gudbuy T'Jane". Narrows the field down slightly, but according to the TOTP database only the "Gudbuy T' Jane" promo was shown in November on both the 16/11/72 & 23/11/72 editions as the band were busy touring the States at the time and consequently were not available for TOTP performances.

Slade did perform "Gudbuy T'Jane" in the studio on 14/12/72, though as far as I know this only exists as it was shown on the German TV show 'Disco'.

It would be nice if someone could clarify what exactly was found and when!

"Gud'Buy T' Jane" studio performance DOES exist. It's one of the best TOTP clips shown on Germany's DISCO I purchased (Quite legally) the full show via their sales dept. Their is also (A few months later) "Cum On Feel The Noize" from Feb 73 featuring Dave Hill's `Metal Nun` rig-out.
