The Mausoleum Club has several debates on those shows. Just go to Google, type in Mausoleum Club and you'l get it.
Several Oh Boys exist, a couple of 6 5 Specials as well.
I reckon there are quite a few Oh Boys in private hands in America. A dozen or so shows were exported there.
I'll do a bit of research and do another posting.

Kev, thanks for your reply, will look into it, have already seen the Oh Boy! site on yahoo...very interesting...i did read on the "Red-hot-`n`-Rocking" site that apprently Jack Good wiped nearly all of the tapes, yet he said he would dearly love to get some More....I did hear about the guy in the US selling 4 shows, but apperently, ABC made 13 working prints of shows for American use...but dissapeared....as well as all the Telerecordings....a mystery eh?...same thing with the 6-5....only 2 left...if you do come up with anything...keep me posted!

Mmhh! was Jack Good responsible or the T.V. companies later on? I bet someone has got a copy of those prints. Apparantly some more prints of oh boy existed in the late 60's at Thames. The Vernons Girls were doing a show and asked to see themselves from ten years ago. Then the tapes disappeared.

Well...in my opinion, i know good was perfectionist, but i dont think he would wipe off all that hard work, after all he got one over the `6-5` producers, by makeing a better quality show!, no...i think it was to do with the companys "policy of junking",and it really makes me mad to think we know people out there have them, but dont come forward...leagle reasons or ££££?? if you know of anybody else whos interested in the shows...get `em to drop me a line!!!....cheers!

A friend and i run a website dedicated to "Oh Boy!" - www.ohboytvshow.com Jack Good has kindly aknowledged the site and has done all he can to fill in some missing info. If you read the heading Where Have The Shows Gone? it will give you the latest info about the supposed missing shows. Sadly of the 38 shows made, 36 are missing. Its tragic that so little survives of "Oh Boy!". It was a great atmospheric rock n roll tv show with a galaxy of big star names who performed live with the Lord Rockingham XI each week.

Thanks Lester for the compliment. No Jack did not wipe or destroy any of the shows. He doesnt remember if many of the shows were even telerecorded....especially the early ones. Remember it was ABC who were permanantly set up down in the stalls dealing with all the technical broadcasting issues... Jack confesses he had very little to do with that side. His job was to get the show together. He does remember the export of some of the shows to the USA however during the latter part of the series run. The last 13 were telerecorded for the intention of American broadcast. He recalls them playing on ABC in Chicago during July/August 1959. But he has never had or ever seen copies of those last 13 telerecorded shows except for the 5th and 13th shows which is all that remain officially in Canal Image's archives. The only hope Lester is that there is a very good chance they have survived in the US in private hands...probably in Arizona or New Mexico. The guy selling was very nervy and went to ground before any agreement could be struck. My hunch is that his were probably second or third generation copies anyway. Our first lead in 46 years and it turns to dust. Im very sad it ended this way. If you have any great memories of the series yourself you can contact me at rumbers@ntlworld.com.

Rumbers... I was about 6 months old when the 1st show was transmitted, our family own a copy of the L.P (a bit hammered...but managed to get hold of a mint one) I found out about the show around the age of 12...got hooked ever since....i suppose the "6-5" met the same fate, any update on them?, some how material ends up in N.Z. for some reason...dont know why, have not looked at the site lately, what is the update so far on missing episodes?.....
p.s....was born the very day Holly came over, 1/3/58....just thought i let you know....

Same here Lester. I was born in October 58 while Oh Boy was on air and first purchased the album when i was about 14... and then i was hooked. Then came the clip of Turn Me Loose first shown on Kenny Everetts itv show in 78 (Kenny was a big fan of the series) and the same clip has been repeated ever since. Its frustrating to think that nothing else has emerged in all this time.

Before condeming people who have personal copies that do not see the light of day. You have to remember that some of these people die, their house is cleared and nobody has a clue what those rusty cans are for in the corner, so into the skip they go.

Rumbers...whilst on the subject of Everett....I recall around the late 70`s kenny played a tape of Holly (Buddy...of which i`m a HUGE fan) live....i never heard of before, i also remember him playing a tape of Paul Mc/Donovan Jamming together, its possible he might (or family) might have some copies of shows, just like Monkhouse, a huge collector of archive material, you never Know....worth investgateing?
