The whole thing makes me very cross Paul.
I am kicking myself a bit as I had satellite TV when UK Gold screened all the old stuff from the 70's and 80's but after about a year or so I stopped taping them.
With hindsight I should have made a better effort to tape them as my fear is that if it's TOTP's 40th year next month and none of the BBC outlets will show anything whatsoever by way of complete shows from the archives then the UK Gold stuff may go down in history as the only time complete shows were ever screened to the viewing public albeit the people who had access to satellite TV in the early 90's.

In truth I would hope TOTP would be a success for the future of the show. I am not one to know though as I did not much follow music after 1981 and only sporadically watch TOTP. I suppose it depends on how younger viewers take to it. ASM
