Has the tele-taper been mentioned before on this forum? It was mentioned in the letters section of the latest DWM. Incredibly the TV Times competition was from 1965! Just in time for 'The Feast of Steven', no less. Is it possible any private collectors have retain reel-to-reel audio/visual recordings of Dr Who, or anything from the 60s for that matter.

I think it’s already been discussed.

As with practically every early 1960s home video taping system, the Tele-Taper VKR500 has indeed been discussed on this forum several times.
Very rare and recording on normal 1/4” audio tape at a very fast speed, so not much was able to be captured. Highly unlikely that any VKR500 recordings survive, let alone Doctor Who ones, and even if there were, you probably wouldn’t be able to find a working machine now to play them back on.

OK thanks for replies. Sorry, I'm unable to attach the image of the TV Times competition from TV Times 1965, I keep getting a message saying it's too big. Have resized the image - to no avail. Anyway it's in the latest DWM for those interested in seeing it.
