Yes please can this happen. The thread title caused me to exclaim, tenth Doctor-like, "WHAT?!" as I lay here next to my partner in bed. I can't imagine she'd enjoy having her weekend started with bad David Tennant impressions! It’s not misleading. It’s been “confirmed” in a panel by the Doctor Who missing episodes team. The team that finds missing episodes said the amount of missing episodes is about to go down The only thing "confirmed" is the over-excitable nature of some fans.

Logically if something really has been recovered the BBC would’ve slapped NDA’s on everyone involved. Phil’s candour therefore suggests either these implied recoveries aren’t exactly imminent or that he himself is not bound by any confidentiality agreement. The latter of course would surely mean he has no direct involvement and consequently might merely be repeating rumours he’s heard himself.
Either way I hope I’m wrong of course and that Phil’s teasing really is a prelude to some very welcome announcements this year. In the meantime though best to remain sceptical I think.

Is Phil part of the Doctor Who missing episodes team? When did that happen? Also, first I've heard of a missing episodes team. I don’t mean a team as in a few people go to places together.

I’m just quoting what someone who is supposedly in the know has said. Personally I don’t see us getting any more missing episodes back and I’m just happy we’ve at least got what we’ve got

Being a "glass half full" person I'm going to be positive about this.
I've learned to put up with the false hopes, fake news and even hoaxes over the years, and I would hate to upset or put off a genuine return.
So ... hoping for the best! I'd love, now, to see something from Power come back, but Evil, Snownen, Web and Fury complete my list of 5 stories I'd most like to see returned.

Nothing new from Phil there - he's said at gatherings before we are getting more missing Doctor Who.

With 6 episodes found, the # of episodes missing decreases from 97 to 91.

I'd like to hope that this is true but so far this seems to be the only discussion about it. i saw it mentioned that the confirmation was on camera, could this footage be found anywhere cause an announcement like this would surely have more discussion on the internet.

The footage in question has since been wiped by a disgruntled BBC employee, the original camera negative destroyed, alas.

Even if it was on camera, it’s still meaningless because it’s not proof of missing episodes.
It’s when the BBC announces that matters.

With 6 episodes found, the # of episodes missing decreases from 97 to 91. No, 6 episodes have not been found. Temper yourself. It's just Morris being himself and saying "confirmed" facts. I'll believe a missing episode is found when it is actually announced by the BBC and not someone who keeps riling up fans.
