Hey, does anyone have info on the Randolph Tapes since they were discovered? www.doctorwhonews.net/2019/01/randolph-tapes.htmlIt would be nice if some stories could be re-released on audio using these tapes if they're of a higher sound quality than what we had before. Does anyone know if the audio has been used, or is available anywhere?

They were covered in an article in Doctor Who Magazine 535 in March 2019.
Although the material will all be useful (as all sources are in restoration) the general assessment was: "the quality on most of the episodes isn't as good as the recordings made by the late Graham Strong."

Was it ever confirmed if they were direct line recordings?

Richard Bignell doesn't mention this but it is thanks to Randolph that we can now hear the BBC's capituating to an act of non-Disney copyright trolling following "The Final Test" because most tapers didn't record the back-announcements on "Doctor Who"'s closing titles etc.
