The sad loss of the great Bernard Cribbins prompts me to ask whether anyone knows the source of this clip, which features gonks performing the actions to 'Right Said Fred'. It looks like a telerecording and I've always wondered what programme it was originally a part of. I think I was first aware of it when it was either shown as part of TV50 in 1986 or on an edition of Windmill from around the same time....

I remember seeing it on something in the late 1980s, before the group of the same name started having hits.

ISTR that this little clip showed up several times on V after its release. Might it have been used as a filler between programmes? The similar "Speedy Gonzales" singing Day-o was used in the same fashion, probably others too.

I was quite familiar with this in the late '60s. Only from the television not the radio which indicates it must have been shown fairly regularly. Fairly sure it featured on Blue Peter more than once.

Thanks for the replies chaps. Quite possible that it's from a surviving late 60s edition of Blue Peter then...

The very last frame shows a woman in the background. Possibly a Blue Peter presenter as mentioned above?

I can remember a late Playschool singing the song, but didn't show this.
