Considering it cost the BBC 10 times more to build a set for Eastenders than it would have cost someone like Barrett Homes to build a real estate in a proper time schedule with long-lasting building grade materials (remembering Brookside) Don't hold out much hope.. .
It will probably become entangled with issues over time and the various 'jobsworths' in the BBC management will just throw public money at it as the private companies hold their hands out...Then they will reach the conclusion they cannot afford to run it anymore LOL.

I can't say I'm too big a fan of the BBC outsourcing their archive. I personally don't think third-party companies can be trusted unless they have a proven track record of storing film and other such material without any incidents resulting in the loss of material.
