Nice to see that EH's own channel has uploaded the complete pilot edition from his 1969 ATV series. Guests are Jose Feliciano, Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie), Dionne Warwick, and Tom Jones. Presumably made at Elstree as its a UK production crew in the credits.
Seems like more editions may follow...

I watched the show the other day, some great performances on there, previously I'd only seen short clips - hopefully more to come !

Dionne's version of "You've Lost that Lovin Feeling" is amazing. One of my favorites of hers.

Episode 6 will be interesting as it is only supposed to survive as a B/W 16mm TR (kinescope).

That would be a delightful turn-up if Engelbert kept his own copies that nobody knew about.

Don't know of any examples either. A "domestic" format, that might be possible, but that would be b/w so unlikely to beat the telerecording except perhaps for sound quality. Sound recordings of the 1972 series with the Young Generation, now those would be useful to replace the German dubbing.

Looks like they will be skipping episode 6. So they don't have anything anyone else doesn't.
(Didn't I already post that earlier today???)

I suppose the b/w copies might have chromadots. Don't know about anybody else but I have never seen the process applied to anything outside the BBC or if they themselves actually bother any more.
