Largely gibberish - and ignorant gibberish! - imho.

" In 2013, two entire Patrick Troughton serials were recovered in Nigeria: "The Enemy of the World" and "The Web of Fear." The serial entitled "The Wheel in Space" was also recovered in its entirety from Cyprus, but the sound elements had been damaged."
Hmmm.

For example I swear the Web of Fear episodes were labelled as something entirely different. The suggestion that "The Wheel in Space" may be what they were labelled as is more likely.

I've renamed the thread to something more appropriate.
The problem with poorly researched articles such as this is that the people who write and also those that publish them have no genuine insight or interest in the subject and therefore the truth. Consequently, gibberish like this gets written and some (like the OP) give it credence. It's not the readers fault.
What is concerning is how far this nonsense gets. Of course, it's really no big deal when it comes to DW. But just imagine if we ever get to the stage where this kind of thing happens in politics where it really matters...

... just imagine if we ever get to the stage where this kind of thing happens in politics where it really matters... It would probably end in World War III or something ... oh hang on ...

Sounds more like fishing bait hoping for a bite but we all know its not gonna work. Won't be the last we hear of this latest find. I'm over it.

Sorry, not really. I'm just being an idiot. Yeah, don't do that sort of thing, even in jest. I've seen people get nasty in response to those posts. Richard

Seriously? Clearly quoting a nonsense comment up thread, in an article full of nonsense.
I'll leave you to it.

The cut-and-paste of the silly claim about Cyprus was posted on 24 April; a few weeks ago. It would have helped if you'd quoted my post, or put quotation marks around yours. The 24th post was mine, and even I didn't get the point at first that you were giving that Cyprus claim the bird.
