He does an excellent show on Boom Radio weekdays at 4pm. Haven't heard him in decades, but I used to listen to him on London's Capital Radio in the late 70s/early 80s and he was great then. Surprised he never really became a household name. He was definitely the early commercial radio equivalent of John Peel. I remember being well impressed when he played the full 8 minute plus version of Neil Young's Like a Hurricane.😎

I remember being well impressed when he played the full 8 minute plus version of Neil Young's Like a Hurricane.😎 He certainly did play some good stuff Paul, but he didn't ever latch on to lesser-known bands like Peel did.. for instance, I remember Nicky playing Genesis tracks from "Trespass" and "Nursery Cryme", which were both a few years old by that time, as the band were starting to appeal to a wider audience but you wouldn't have heard anything very obscure on Capital Radio at all.

Don't suppose you have the show with the Wizzard promo of 'This is the story of my love' on by any chance? . Been trying to track that one down for years. Nope. I've got around 14 episodes, and no Roy Wood to be seen...... I'm searching for an episode with Geordie on it, would you happen to have it? Dated 1974. Thanks!
