Quote from the Mail article: "Last week she hit back at a claim on US website that she believed there are only two genders. Rowling wrote: 'Small but important point: I've never said there are only two genders. 'There are innumerable gender identities." This is where we are entering a new world, where the principle is: If you wish it, is is so". I grew up in a world where there are males, and females. There are also cases where, in nature, something has gone wrong. Sad, but a fact! I shall hold that view when I draw my last breath - because it is reality! And I think most of us are with you on that 👍 Biological sex is a scientific fact and medically important - there are attributes that are specific to either men or women which means each can only get certain medical conditions and, therefore, need specific treatments. Get that wrong and people die! Gender is often used interchangeably - many surveys, etc ask for your gender - with sex, but it’s actually a mental, not physical, thing. Someone can be a biological male but “feel” or “claim to feel” that they’re a woman. It works the other way with biological females “feeling” that they’re men. What some want is for biological males who “identify” as women to be treated indistinguishably from biological females and that’s when the problems start, particularly when you’re talking about traditionally female only spaces. However, point that out and the mob comes for you freespeechunion.org/letter-to-professor-martin-jones-vice-chancellor-and-chief-executive-of-staffordshire-university-regarding-the-investigation-into-professor-james-treadwell-by-staffordshire-university/

Considering she was a left wing daring until recently it was seen as a smack in the face by many of her fans.

I've never understood why people who are supposedly against racism are happy to use that word, considering it's based on skin colour. I assume it's based on the popular notion that white men can't be the victim of racism. What’s nowadays known as “anti-racism” is predicated upon only whites being racist and that they must be discriminated against. Only discrimination against the sort of people who leave their thinking to the right wing media to the extent they might as well be owned by them!

Wrong? Who are we to decide that? They happen to be an individual regardless. Of course they're an individual; I'm not suggesting we toss them out of society, like a milk bottle plant throwing out bottles that don't conform to the required shape. I know it's a sensitive subject, but facts still remain facts - and the "socially aware" mob are trying to remove all forms of ordered thinking from our society.

Gender is often used interchangeably - many surveys, etc ask for your gender - with sex, but it’s actually a mental, not physical, thing. Someone can be a biological male but “feel” or “claim to feel” that they’re a woman. It works the other way with biological females “feeling” that they’re men. This is one of those areas where I believe you draw your lines. I simply do not believe in pandering to these people. Sometimes in life, we have to accept that certain things are beyond our reach. That isn't being defeatist, it's being realistic. I would love to be able to paint wonderfully, like my sister. But I simply don't have the ability. I have to accept that, and move on in life. If you're born a male, you will remain a male all your life. You can have your body mutilated by surgery, but your DNA will still reveal that you are a male. Similarly, of course, for a female. These people need psychological help - not surgery. If they really feel that intensely that they belong to the opposite sex, they need help to make them see reality, not assisting them to live in a dream. Anyway, I've said all I shall say on these matters, as the discussion is getting away from the main focus of this group. Interesting points raised, though.

If you’re a biological male you can get testicular cancer - whatever your gender might be. If you’re a biological female you can get cervical cancel - whatever your gender might be. These things are being driven by a small, unrepresentative, unelected and unaccountable minority - look up the long slow march through the institutions.

Thanks for showing us how "owned" you are! What's so wrong about removing ordered thinking? though as I mentioned above it sounds like some people like to willingly surrender their thinking rights.
