Do recordings exist for 'Curse of the Daleks' from 1965 and 'The Seven Keys to Doomsday’ from 1974?
I know of several original recordings (video and audio) for both the Pertwee and Colin Baker versions of The Ultimate Adventure, in varying quality but what about these other stage plays? Do audio recordings exist?

Big Finish did an adaptation of the script for "Curse of the Daleks' around 10 years ago. There might be something on the extras after the story that might answer your question but from waht I remember hearing they only had the script. I don't remember there mentioning that there was an audio recording of the play but I could be wrong.

Does anything exist from the Unit play -
Recall unit: the great T Bag mystery
from the Edinburgh fringe Festival in early 80s? Script or audio or film. I remember seeing one photo in DWM many moons ago....

You don't know if someone sneaked in a video camera at the time, or if there was a security camera in the venue that was recording it?

Very true. I have found some band footage from the venue from 1981, so was asking if there was a security camera that would film.....for security purposes of course... Hard to imagine that it shared the same stage as Peter Capaldi of the Dreamboys See link - youtu.be/DFgaFtFMH70

It was from 1984 and there may very well have been a recording made. I remember attending a small event with Richard Franklin and Terrance Dicks around this time organised by the Edinburgh Dr Who group. One of them was present with a camcorder which required a standard VHS tape hence the bulkiness of the machine. Surprising how long it took for JVC to come up with compact VHS thus reducing the size. I suspect the same group were involved in the stage play. It may be that any footage did not survive of course but one name I remember regarding Recall Unit was Liam Rudden who until recently worked for the Edinburgh Evening News. You might ask him as he appears to be on twitter. I do remember one scathing review of the show from the fan press but I did not attend myself.

In that era I was attending a lot of DWAS events with people, now long dead, from the Hartnell and Troughton eras. Interviews were sometimes taped but, iirc, the sound was poor.

So I contacted said Gentleman and he was kind enough to reply with an answer- see below - Hi Peter Thanks for getting in touch. This piece I wrote will give you more background on Recall UNIT (or The Great Tea-Bag Mystery). liamrudden.substack.com/p/doctor-who-backstage-at-recall-unitI know for a fact that the production was not filmed as there was a clause in contracts that prevented that. There is some footage doing the rounds of a the cast and company taking part in that year’s (1984) Edinburgh Festival Cavalcade. Hope that helps. Any further questions, just drop me a line. Bests Líam

Thanks for the feedback. At least you have a definitive answer if not the one you were looking for.

Are the scripts online? I have always been curious about them. The only thing I found was the DWM review on it from 1984......hence why I was asking around. Mr Franklin might be able to shed some light on it as he wrote and arranged the whole if someone has his details and wants to contact him..... I thought this would be ripe for a Big Finish stageplay
