It will come just give it time, I remember back in 2006 when "The Invasion" was released and they said there would be no more but they have come slowly but they are coming, after all they just animated 7 episodes in a row in "Evil of the Daleks" so what's another 6 episodes . . . I completely agree Robert, I just hope that they continue with the high standard of animation that they reached on Evil. I would rather they took their time over the releases and do it properly.

One thing that has to be considered wrt animations is the audio. Every ME audio, I believe, survives, but some are better than others. In terms of the style of animation I hope that the powers that be are taking note of the feedback. You & me both. What level of quality are the audio recordings for Masterplan? Mission seems pretty good from the Levine animation. the audio is very good on the daleks masterplan and since the release of the narated CD release we have the recently discovered Randoplh tapes recordings for the story which are supposed to be better quality

All we need to do is wait. If you think about it now that they are doing "Galaxy Four" they will have some character models for the Fist Doctor and Steven Taylor as well as the TARDIS interior from the first Doctors era. Now from already animating "The Power of the Daleks" and "The Evil of the Daleks" they also have models for the Daleks already made. . . .
So in short some of the elements already needed are now in place (and yes there are some differences to the Daleks of course) but they have for the most part already been animated and no doubt can be adapted if needed.

Animated Peter Purves! “Who’d” have thought it. A veritable “Feast of Steven”. I think I’ll get my coat!

There's suddenly a lot of completed animated Troughtons out there and why does it somehow feel like a chore to watch Evil?Is it because I've had my fill of animated substitutions of live action episodes or is it too many too soon?Do missing episodes raise the stock of what does exists and are these animations no substitute for the mystique and longing for the real thing?

That’s interesting Jaz, it’s had the opposite effect for me. I binge watched it in two sessions. IMHO after a couple of missteps with Fury (arms & some of the reimagining) & Web 3, it is a real step up and the most enjoyable animated reconstruction so far and this standard an excellent second best to a full recovery. As I said earlier, the Dalek scenes in episode 7 were so good you could almost forget that you weren’t watching the real thing for a while. Perhaps it’s my imagination but even the animated face in the start seems to have had its expression improved with the hint of Pat’s wistful smile that wasn’t there before. 10/10 for me.

It sounded like a much better recording than the one featured on the narrated CD. It certainly whetted my appetite for more...

I haven't even got round to watching it yet Richard-it's still wrapped in it's cellophane and lying in a drawer in my living room! But after reading your comments I'm a bit more enthusiastic about it but it'll be a while before I actually load it into the blu-ray player.

I’ve only watched the black & white version with episode two inserted so far. The only thing I found “wrong” as I mentioned before, was a minor quibble about Maxtible’s beard being too tidy in the animated episodes when watched after the original episode 2, which I hope you will feel as I did is a very minor gripe indeed. Enjoy!
