Is there a site, or better yet, a book, listing with information all the tv series related vinyl records and CDs? I got into collecting all the Peter Cook And Dudley Moore Decca LPs which include the audio from their tv sketches, especially loving the Misty Mister Wisty LP by Cook, and this lead to Bentine's Square World records also with material sometimes falling under the 'missing presumed wiped' category. I aldo got interest in the Gerry Anderson Century 21 mini-LP 7"ers through the Fanderson club which reissued many of them on CD, and also what I'm able to find of the old Harry Corbett & Sooty (and Sweep) Fontana 7"ers.
My BF meanwhile was getting heavily into Steptoe & Son on LP as well as Laurie Johnson theme music that sometimes had clips from the shows.
It would be interesting to see a guide of some sort... perhaps with categories of original to record comedy and drama performance, taken from off air material possibly including sports play-by-plays, and perhaps also musical works by stars from tv (such as say Peggy Lipton from the Mod Squad or Nichelle Nichols from Star Trek who had music albums). There are lots of lists out there of theme music, original or recreated, of everything from game shows to test pattern music to incidentals and cues for various series. If we can't watch some Not Only But Also at least we can hear them is how I've felt, and I'd like to know what else might be out there in the same vein.
Radio episodes of The Goons, Hancock and I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again have also been available on disc or tape, perhaps they'd make a better companion for such a reference than music by tv actors?
