It is currently owned by Granada / ITV plc, and it is stored at YTV in Leeds.

The regional Anglia archive is partly stored at the east Anglia Film Archive, at East Anglia University. Their website says this, anyway.

I'm not convinced that the entire Granada archive is now centrally located in Leeds as I received a timecoded tape of an Anglia 70s drama, posted to me from the Norwich office recently. LWT material is still being posted out from London. I think that at present, Leeds operates as a central point of contact for Granada's archive services.

I should add that some LWT material is posted out from London and some from Leeds, so I think the whole archive location situation is in an ongoing state of flux.

You can buy a DVDs and videos of old Anglia programmes from the ITV Viewers Requests page. I bought a copy of the 1972 play "The Greeks And Their Gifts", although it was very expensive.

I paid £198 for a DVD of "The Greeks And Their Gifts". The DVD was of good quality, with no jumping, freezing or 'green screening'. For DVDs and videos, £99 per half and hour up to £297 for one programme. If you are a student or a lecturer and intend to use the DVD or video for educational purposes, the cost is £80 per half and hour up to £240 for one programme. DVDs are on PAL format and videos are available on PAL or NSTC. Thames, BBC, Channel 4, Five, Scottish, Channel and Ulster produced programmes are not available to purchase on ITV Viewers Requests. For more information go to ITV Viewers Requests www.itvregions.com/Anglia/ViewersRequestForm/

DVD-Rs are used and there is a menu, but not like the ones on commercially released DVDs with pictures etc.
You have to sign a contract and keep one copy and send the other back to ITV.
If I won on the lottery, I'd purchase more or wait 'til they are officially released on DVD. Although, most of the obscure ones will probably never be released. Having said that, LWT's Kinvig was finally released after 25 years. I guess you never know.

DVD-Rs are used and there is a menu, but not like the ones on commercially released DVDs with pictures etc. Cheers for that. Did the programe include the "countdown clock" and original ident at the start? Is it chaptered at all? Say every 5 mins? I think many drama and comedy series will eventually get a commercial release .. however there are many single plays and dramas I can't ever see on shiny disk!

There's a countdown clock attached to the clapperboard. It appears once before the ident and before part two commences. The original Anglia front cap and end cap idents and end credits are both intact. I'm glad ITV kept them, rather than changing the end credits and adding the ITV Productions end cap.
