Hello everyone, Happy to announce that my book looking at the beginnings of Play for Today is now available here: www.lulu.com/en/gb/shop/simon-farquhar/play-for-today-the-first-year/paperback/product-n646jg.html?page=1&pageSize=4The book was actually researched and written quite a few years ago, but never found a home with a publisher then. All these years later, with the renewed interest in the series since the 50th anniversary, I'm pleased to be able to make it available. As well as a detailed look at the history of the television play, all the plays from the programme's first year are explored, including those which no longer exist in the BBC Archives. There are plenty of interviews with those who made the programme, many of whom are now no longer with us, and lots of pretty pictures. For those interested in the series, I do hope you find the book interesting and informative. Enjoy xx
