Haha, it's not that bad (worth seeing for Lulu singing 'Mrs. Robinson'!). Lulu's good in everything#. (#except 'the Cherry Picker'. No wonder it was missing for years; I have a copy and I don't want to watch it again....) Agree totally! Unlike Cilla Black's rather enjoyable performance in 'Work Is A Four-Letter Word.

Indeed! Unlike Dusty and Sandie, she never went into periods of semi-retirement, and unlike Cilla she never neglected her music career to concentrate on TV.

There's a colour promo film for 'Portobello Road': used to be on Youtube but is currently not at large.

There's a colour promo film for 'Portobello Road': used to be on Youtube but is currently not at large. Thanks Peter, but that's not the clip I'm thinking of. The caption for that says it's 1966 footage filmed by Peter Whitehead that's been edited here to accompany the 1967 single. This footage appears to features two of the Beach Boys (Dennis Wilson and Al Jardine I think: that definitely looks like Jardine at 01.48!) filmed by Whitehead during a 1966 trip to London and synched up to the Spectrum song later. The clip I'm thinking of featured the actual group The Spectrum (who were a 5 piece group notably for having some kind of sponsorship deal with Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, hence the name) filmed in situ in (I think) the titular road.

Oops! Must confess AJ that I'm not familiar with this band at all (a year or so too "modern" for my tastes!).

Very nice! I just quickly researched them, and was surprised to find they were actually a manufactured "Monkees" type band.

Here's a clip of Honeybus in action from 1968, it's only a 1 minute fragment, presumably made for a promo. As things currently stand, this is the only footage of the band currently in existence. Does anyone know the origin of this Honeybus promo and why it only exists fragmentarily?

Does anyone know the origin of this Honeybus promo and why it only exists fragmentarily? As it's from a Dutch TV documentary, my guess would be 'Twien', 4th October 1968 (I don't how much of that show survives but certainly some does).

Does anyone know the origin of this Honeybus promo and why it only exists fragmentarily? I strongly suspect that the clip survives complete, but that jumpy upload is due to the footage being cut from this documentary on Honeybus: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxesvcavSOUIn the doc the promo is intercut with interview footage, but someone appears to have removed the interview bits and strung what's left together to make a very short promo.
