Another group I nearly included was The Paramounts (who later morphed into Procol Harum of course), but then I remembered this footage of them backing Sandie Shaw: There is also a short 8mm film of the Paramounts live at the Hammersmith Odeon December 1965.

Don Partidge on TOTP survives. He's also in the Discorama edit of Popdown found by Peter Prentice in 2009 mentioned above. He wasn't! No footage of the busker is seen in Musicorama: Popdown.

Not the Misunderstood I had in mind, Kev. I was thinking of the earlier Rick Brown-fronted group. I thought you probably meant the original line up Peter (their more interesting phase, IMO), but is there any record of them having appeared on any TV shows or that they were filmed at the time? They were supposed to have been filmed for a Pathe newsreel.

Apologies Peter: I have a could've sworn I saw him filmed busking in the street at night in Musicorama:Popdown at the 2009 showing. Am I mixing those scenes up with another performer?

How about The Mojos? "Everything's Alright" got to #9 in the UK so was probably performed before the cameras at some point. The Mojos are in the 1964 John Leyton/Mike Sarne movie 'Every Day's A Holiday' ('Seaside Swingers' in the USA). Can't find it on YT, but here's the DVD: www.amazon.co.uk/Every-Days-Holiday-John-Leyton/dp/B002VSCADO(I would upload it to youtube myself, but all my DVDs are currently packed away in boxes ready for moving home in March!). There is also this clip:

I seem to remember a clip of Don Partridge on "Day By Day" the Southern ITV magazine programme when he first came on the scene I guess that doesn't survive.

I've not seen any footage of Eli Bonaparte, Jefferson (as a solo), or the Free Movement.

I've not seen any footage of Eli Bonaparte, Jefferson (as a solo), or the Free Movement. I researched Jefferson when I wrote 'Channelling The Beat!' and didn't find any surviving footage.
