Although all 39 episodes are out on DVD, IMDB still shows this as a partially-missing show. www.imdb.com/title/tt1948974/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1Whenever I try to update IMDB info, I make a hash of it. Anyone else care to have a try?

Usually a problem with two series sharing the same name in this case the BBC 'Scotland Yard' and the Merton Park 'Scotland Yard' that info gets onto one instead of the other, so you have to be sure which is which.

Ah gotcha Peter. I was taking it that the 'BBC' was another mistake.
If I've got it right now, what's wrong on the BBC Scotland Yard page on IMDB is:
(a) There's a prominant photo of the cover of Network's release of the Merton Park set. (b) The Trivia note that "The claim that only 13 episodes were made isn't correct. There are actually 39 episodes in the series. They were produced at Merton Park Studios between 1953-1961, and all of them were narrated by Edgar Lustgarten." (c) The Connections comment "Featured in Remembering Merton Park Studios (2008)."
Is the Merton Park series on IMDB? I'm having trouble finding it?

Is the Merton Park series on IMDB? I'm having trouble finding it? Yes it was listed at one time in the convenient form of a 'TV series', which meant you could quickly look through the episode list .. and of course they played on TV many times, so it was true to an extent. BUT what you got was pedantics obsessing and protesting that it should be listed as a cinema short series and so now you can still find it on IMDB but as individual films with no Scotland Yard title eg. www.imdb.com/title/tt0219323/referencewhich makes it all bloody confusing trying to search anything and work out what belongs to the Merton Park Series and what belongs to the BBC series .

Whisper it, but the similar Scales of Justice is still listed as a TV series!
Added: But for how long. There's a Trivia note that "There seems to be some debate as to whether "The Scales of Justice" is a series of short films or a series for television." and it's mentioned in one or two reviews.
(Trivia also notes "The Tornados covered the theme tune as the B-side of their number eighteen U.K. hit "Ice Cream Man". The single is mentioned-even the catalogue number should you wish to obtain it-at the start of every Scales of Justice episode. The one thing they don't say is that it's the B side. Maybe that's why they give the catalogue number!

A shame Scotland Yard and Scales of Justice haven't been released on Blu-ray, looks like they were both shot on 35mm film, they would look great. 35mm film sources put onto DVD is such a waste, like having an Aston Martin and putting cheap crappy tyres on it.

They have had a go at Edgar Wallace..someone has taken the trouble to now list every episode as an individual film as well. However it can still be found as a whole under 'Mysteries of Edgar Wallace' which indeed is how it went out on TV in many places with the usual TV style of just having the producer/director/description as the beginning credits. Thanks Pete for pointing that out would it be pedantic to change it?
