"A contract worth £20,000".? In another universe, it's the boys from Quarry Bank School.

I'd never seen the clip before. It was "£20,000 of work" that their agent claimed to the press to have secured for them, but it is not clear if they ever saw any of this as they may still at the time have been underage for fulltime work; they do not appear to have released a second single. I wonder if they also performed the (superior) A-side of their single on the show -'Can't See for Looking' (both sides had been written by members of the Uglys; 'Let Me Get By' was by Steve Gibbons and Dave Pegg)

Their single does not appear to have been released until 13th January, 1967 according to Record Retailer.
