I don't suppose this was one of those shows which were known to be safe in private hands, and is thus not counted as missing? (It happens sometimes).

TPTV claim to have found three that were “missing”.
I’m still not sure if that’s correct.

after they closed down in july 1968,the associated-rediffusion library was held by many companies.the same that did apply to the archives of the other former franchises(ABC,southern,westward,TVS,TSW,TV-AM) global TV services who distributed rediffusion's material over the world went into liquidation in 1971 & since then most of their archive were held by little-known companies such as paladin entertainment & archbuild.i remembered watching an edition of 'this is your life' from january 1995 with barry cryer as the subject & they showed the titles to the only-existing rediffusion-produced episode of the ronnie corbett sitcom 'no that's me over here'(which barry cryer co-created) from 1967 and the caption said on the clip that the rights was held by a office company which i cannot mind the name of which could be a private company as that episode was held by a private collector.ABC's archive was held by EMI since they took over the company from 1970 till the takeover by the cannon group in 1986,then weintraub, lumiere pictures & now studiocanal.thames was the same as their archives are held by pearson television international later became fremantle media & their children's output are now held by a canadian company.was watching a 1978 episode of 'shadows on TPTV recently and as it was a childrens show it was distributed by fremantle.so is all of thames' children's drama output(i.e.the tomorrow people) still held by fremantle ? the archive from southern were held since 1982 by RPTA then primetime took over by southern star swallowed up by the endemol shine group & renown pictures who took over the library ever since.i think renown has all of southern's output with the exception of 'worzel gummidge' 'enid blyton's famous five' & 'winston churchill:the wilderness years' which endemol still have the rights to,i think.TVS however was taken over by IFE in 1992 just before they closed down that same year then disney took them over and wiped out some of their material then the material of TV-AM were taken over by moving image then they were bought by associated press and lastly the westward & TSW archives were taken in full control in 1993 by the south west film archive.

NAA has the following: Television film purchase commitments - BBC [2.0cm; box 6] 1959 - 1965A rather disappointing file as there are no documents concerning BBC programmes dated 1964. However there is a listing dated 11 March 1961 concerning programmes available to be broadcast by ABC and 28 episodes of No Hiding Place (series 1 & 2) were available as a second-run broadcast [page 143]. There were also 39 episodes of Murder Bag (listed as Mystery Bag, the Australian title) available as a second-run broadcast [page 144].

Tremendous find Robert Good to see that 28 episodes of Season 1 & 2 were available, there is currently only 1 episode Victim Of The Dark known to exist from Season 1 and only one episode from Season 2 Two Blind Mice. On the adjoining page of that NAA document is No Hiding Place Season 3 13 episodes, only 4 are currently known to exist as complete episodes The Widower, Whistle And I'll Come, The White Stick and Dead Ringer and an incomplete episode Process Of Elimination. In Season 1 there were 20 episodes Season 2 26 episodes Season 3 26 episodes Robert It would be very valuable, if you could find out which of the 28 from Season 1 & 2 and the 13 from Season 3 listed in your NAA document, for then it would be known which of the episodes from Season 1, 2 and 3 were tele-recorded. If your NAA document does not say, then you or others may find the episode titles listed in the newspapers at the time. Many thanks for your great find and help!

Watched the latest 'No Hiding Place' taped off TPTV last night with great anticipation and whilst it was the usual entertaining fare I can't get enough of, it soon dawned on me I'd seen 'Dead ringer' before (and not in 1961!). Turns out I have on it on a No Hiding Place DVDR I got off the net some years back, along with 8 other episodes.

Hi Robert,
Thank you so much for finding these episodes of No Hiding Place that were transmitted then, it gives an indication that these episodes must have been tele-recorded either at the Wembley Studios or in Television House in Holborn, for Associated-Rediffusion, to be able to send these to Australia.
This helps enormously!
If you or anyone else, can find something similar or like this, of any other No Hiding Places, it would very valuable and welcome!
Tremendous work again Robert!
Thanks!
