I know it is just light entertainment but it has been showing some interesting early television clips with some excellent archive research.
Tonights episode has an episode of Yorkshire TVs Toolbox where a plug wiring demonstration was done in black and white in a confusing way. I was wonder if the show was originally colour.
Off to eat my strange yellow tomato now ;-)

Off to eat my strange yellow tomato now ;-) Just seen Harry - hilarious. Mike Smith (I wonder what ever happened to him and his wife) was like king of afternoon DIY way back yonder. His programmes got some stick as they said "it looks like some bloke from the local hardware shop had just wandered into the studio and started making programmes" but the audience obviously thought better as he had a good few series. His series 'Toolbox' was a victim of the colour strike so if any other episodes exist some may be in colour.

I wasn't sure how well this series would go, but I've been enjoying it so far, being both funny and using plenty of interesting clips.
