50 years since Jimi died.
Often wondered what clip the pops used for Voodoo Chile.
I reckon the clip from Swedish tv.

That’s a good point Peter.
As it was from Bob Pratt, wonder if it was still in his secret stash at that time?
Do you know Peter cavesham house I think it’s called would keep records.
Have you had a look at my attachments, Peter?

I've looked at them briefly Kev, wonderful stuff (sorry, bit tied up with research atm).
Must confess, I'm not a huge fan of Jimi, though there's no denying his extraordinary talent and enormous influence of course. I'm nearing the end of the superb RSG book, where The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream appear on the show, effectively signalling the end of beat groups and the start of Rock (with a capital "R"!). Exciting times of course, but for an unashamed '60s pop fan like myself, also a little sad.

I think 'Happening for Lulu' was just a short series to showcase songs for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest.
Jimi was just to be an end filler for the credits rolling, however not sure if the show was live as legend has it Jim's set was so engrossing ( Bob Pratt working in a repair shop got a VTR rolling) it held up the news coming next..don't know if that is actually true or not, but being live would perhaps explain why nothing else of the series exists.
