I note that both this and the Light Entertainment release are Exempt from classification. Keeps the costs down, compared to sit-coms!

And yet that tv brain listing seems wrong? The 1965 Christmas special (before the series proper), surely does exist as its on the DVD release!

Wish I'd spotted that-I was more focused on series 2 apparently preceeding series 1 ! Hopefully, the Christmas Special is a find. IMDB has it as the 'Pilot'. Rest of cast listed alphabetically: Cilla Black Josephine Blake Jack Douglas Ann Hamilton Morgan James Duo Miriam Karlin Jenny Lee Wright Francis Matthews Johnny Shack The photo for the regular series looks as though Bruch and Ronnie Corbett had a ventriloquist act: www.imdb.com/title/tt0297513/

This is great news- I wondered if Network had more or less given up on releasing archive tv on dvd, especially with the recent introduction of their pay-to-view on-line content. There are some very decent guests on the Forsyth series and I'll certainly be shelling out but you do wonder how big (or small) the market is for such dvds. Light entertainment doesn't attract the sort of cult following the drama does. Presumably the Palladium releases went sufficiently well...

Now £34.99...which is odd, because it's £20.50 at Network.
