I remember someone mentioning the line whistle, it's was one of the few times I've seen some 405 line sets in action, & defiantly the first time a 819 line set running.

Line whistle was strangely hypnotic! It was, it was a comforting part of home life as a young child.

The buyer has just left glowing feedback, so they obviously think this film strip (which could have been snapped as a DVD playing on a retro TV) was well worth £156!
The listing said "Found in box of films with some more Dr.Who clips. Yet to view and sort." ... so watch this space, although somehow I just know that none will be from a missing episode.

He has put up another reel. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dr-Who-Hartnell-Daleks-16mm-film/254695523747?hash=item3b4d0945a3:g:x-gAAOSwR1ZfOre6This time from The Rescue (The Daleks Episode 7). "Welcome to my second auction of Dr.Who 16mm film. This is for around 100ft of Hartnell as Dr.who and his enemy the Daleks. Looks like clips from final episode of the daleks I think episode 7. I have tried to do screenshots like last time by reversing neg on computer. I have been inundated with messages for the last one I sold and enquiring about more film. I have put a picture in showi ng reels I've yet to go through. I know there is Planet of the giants and the Tenth planet and bits. Please bare in mind these are negatives and have some wear and tear. The quality varies as they are obviously filmed off tv sometime ago...I don't know when. I will be listing the rest as I go through them. I have had enquiries about missing episodes and the short of it is I don't know! I make no claims I have some missing gems but I will be listing as and when.Either way these are nice collectables for Dr.Who fans. I am posting this now and will be deciding if I list the rest or sell to collectors. I have 2 more dalek films both on 100ft but haven't yet run fully or identified them. Please be patient as over the weekend will be sorting. No International posting. This auction is for one 100ft reel"

Possibly not as overscan on TVs could and probably would be more than on film recording monitors.

Daleks ep7 went for 47£ I think.
I’m weary of this set.
